Palacio de San Francisco

Palacio_de_san_francisco1 The Palace of San Francisco is an example of the Republican style that was fashionable in the beginning of the 20th century in the capital of Colombia. This building has an incredible ornate interior and was built between 1918-1933 by the French architect Gaston Lelarge. His other works include Palace Echeverry and the Edificio Liavano. Until 1997, the Palace was the headquarters of the Government of Cundinamarca. In 1984, it was declared a national monument and is currently occupied by one of the biggest schools in the city, Nuestra SeƱora del Rosario.
