Easter Island

EasterEaster Island, Rapa Nui, Isla de Pascua, is located on the Pacific Ocean, halfway to Tahiti, in Chilean territory, and it is famous for its giant stone busts that were built centuries ago. This busts are called Moai, and are archaeological features, so please be careful when you are around, the look tough but actually are pretty fragile. The Moai are located along the coastline, and you can also visit the inland quarry, a 300 foot volcano remnant which provided the stones for the Moai carving.
