Isla Margarita

Margarita_1Situated in the Caribbean, Isla Margarita is the biggest island of the Nueva Esparta State, and its capital is La Asuncion, which is located in a river valley that has the same name. It is formed by 2 peninsulas, and with its very dry and sunny climate, the main industry is tourism, besides construction and fishing. A peaceful place with lots of beaches, you can find great locations for water sports like windsurfing at Playa Parguito and Playa El Yaque.
