Xochimilco

Xochimilco is situated south from Mexico DF, and it is known for its extended series of canals, resembling the ones in Venice, and this canals, are the remains of the ancient Lake Xochimilco. This area has managed to maintain its ancient traditions, even though it is so close to Mexico DF. It has a very romantic reputation, due to its citizens, that travel in the picturesque boats, covered with flowers.
