Uxmal
Uxmal is a very large pre Columbian ruined city of the Maya civilization, located in the state of Yucatán. The architecture here is considered to be matched only by the one of Palenque, both in elegance and beauty, and has a predominant Puuc style. Among the buildings in the area, the most important are the Governor's Palace, a long low building atop a huge platform, the Adivino or Pyramid of the Magician, the Nunnery Quadrangle and a large Ball court for playing the Mesoamerican ballgame.
