Arezzo

Piazzagrandearezzo Arezzo is a city in Tuscany, 50 miles south east of Florence, and has an elevation of 296 meters above sea level. The city is set on a steep hill, we can find in the upper part of the town the cathedral, the Town Hall and the Fortezza Medicea (Medici Fortress), and the main streets branch from here to the lower part of the town to the gates. This upper part of the town maintains its medieval aspect. Among the main sights in the town is the Piazza Grande, a medieval square with red brick pavement and geometrical lines in limestone, that now is the site of the Giostra del Saracino (Joust of the Saracin).
