12 This modern, four-room building traces the stylistic development of the painter, Nestor Martín Fernández de la Torre, who was born in Gran Canaria and was obsessed his entire life with showing and encouraging the most typical characteristics of the Islands in illustrations, furniture, clothes and publicity posters. One of his most famous works is El Poema del Atlántico (The Poem of the Atlantic), which can be found in a special room of the musuem
