Yojoa Lake

YojoaYojoa Lake is about 100 km of Comayagua, between Cortes and Santa Barbara, at 700 meters above sea level, and over the highway that leads to Tegucigalpa. Here you can enjoy the natural beauty of the lake, as well as water sports and bird sighting. It is natural lake, surrounded by mountains that can reach up to 2.600 meters, like Santa Barbara Hill. This majestic mountains guard 2 of the most important National Parks of Honduras, Park Azul Meambar (southern shore of the lake) and Park Santa Barbara (northern shore of the lake). the bio diversity is hard to match, for instance, only counting the birds species there´s over 373!
