Astana

Astana is the second largest city in Kazakhstan and present capital of the country since 1998. It is currently undergoing a huge transformation, under international top architects that are trying to make this city a great capital for Kazakhstan and for all Central Asia. Don't miss the Baiterek Tower, nicknamed "Chupa Chups" for its similarity to a lollipop, which a great example of the new and futuristic architecture of the city.
